Martial Arts

My journey through the world of martial arts began in 1996, at Quantum Martial Arts, where I trained and taught for many years under the guidance of Rachel Evans. The Quantum style is an integration of the principles of Taekwondo, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Hapkido, Judo and Tai Chi. A blend of soft and hard, internal and external, Quantum taught me to see the world through the elements of Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and The Void.

My experience teaching was mostly with kids and basics adult classes. I also taught martial arts in a few corporate settings, as part of our community outreach program. From 1999 to 2001, I was on the board of directors of MAPI (Martial Arts in the Public Interest), the non-profit organization founded by the school.

Throughout the years I have also pursued studies in other forms of martial arts and energy management disciplines, including Chi Gung, Tai Chi (Yang style), and most currently Bagua (George Xu).

I am currently studying STAV, which is beyond a martial system. STAV is a way of life. For more info ask Swami Google-ananda.
